Hitter: Kimberly Kvapil, UIW
OH, 6'0, SR, La Vernia, TX
Kvapil led the Cardinals to a 3-0 record, including wins over UTPB and undefeated in conference play, DBU. Kvapil averaged 3.71 kills per game and 3.93 digs per contest. Kvapil's best match was against DBU, when she had 25 kills and 17 digs.
Setter: Chelsea Barsamian, St. Edward's Setter, 5' 10, SO, Arlington, TX Barsamian was big part in the Hilltoppers 2-1 record over the week. She averaged 11.5 assists and 1.5 digs per game. Barsamian had over 30 assists in each match, with her best against Newman when she dished out 45 assists. Libero: Ashley Alba, UTPB Libero, 5’4, SR, El Paso, TX Alba led the Falcons to a 1-1 record on the week, including a victory against St. Mary's in Heartland Conference play. Alba's best match was against the Rattlers when she had 30 digs and five aces, while against UIW she had 26 digs. This is Ashley’s fourth player of the week award in a row. |
