Incarnate Word Picked to Win Men’s Soccer Title The University of Incarnate Word's Men's Soccer Team has been selected to win the Heartland Conference Championship for the second straight season.
Incarnate Word finished the 2007 season with a 13-6-1 overall record and a 7-2-1 record in conference play. Six teams will bid for the championship during the 2007 season, with Newman, TAMIU, and UTPB all biding for a chance to win the Conference Championship, since they were recently awarded as full status members for NCAA Division II play. Picked to finish second and third respectively is St. Edward's and UTPB. The remainder of the field competing for the championship will be St. Mary's, Newman, and TAMIU.
