UTPB reports record enrollmentOdessa American The University of Texas of the Permian Basin reported Wednesday a record summer enrollment of 1,557 students.
The university had 1,334 students enrolled last summer.
"We've had almost an 18 percent overall increase in enrollment this summer," UTPB registrar Hector Govea said, adding that he attributes the rise in students to a variety of summer courses.
This year, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board recognized UTPB as the public state university for graduating seniors who attain jobs following college graduation.
