The UT Permian Basin Small Business Development Center will be holding a “Starting Your Own Business Seminar” entirely in Spanish from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Saint Anthony’s Parish, 1321 West Monahans St. in Odessa. All Spanish speakers looking to start their own business are invited to attend. There is no cost for the seminar, but participants should RSVP to 552-2456 by May 21.
This is SBDC’s first Spanish seminar, and provides a unique opportunity for Spanish speakers to learn why they should start a business and how to write a business plan. “It’s amazing how naturally entrepreneurial the Hispanic community is in the Permian Basin,” SBDC Counselor Beatriz Merino said. “By providing them with business knowledge, we hope they will be able to make great business decisions and continue growing in order to fulfill the needs of our community.” For more information, call Merino at 552-2456.
